My Background
My name is Andrew Tavarez, and I am a film creator. I'm the guy that appears in like every other shot in this video I have playing in the background lol. I currently reside in Staten Island, despite that fact, I find myself all over Brooklyn, and Manhattan shooting recaps and personal projects. I have a Bachelors in Arts, major in Cinema Studies Critical Studies, and I've achieved Cum Laude.
I continue to produce work, as I create promotional videos' for both a non profit organization named BSY (Brooklyn Staten Island Youth) and for the media department at CUNY College of Staten Island. My years of personal exploration, and professional experience in media has deepened my passion for the craft of filmmaking, and I hope to always keep learning new things as I continue on this Journey.

I studied at CUNY The College of Staten Island for 4 years. That is where I obtained a lot of my cinematography / videography techniques and skills. Editing has always been in my background, but here I really honed in on my skills with a camera.

I was the Media Director for Brooklyn / Staten Island Youth; BSY. Here is where I actively am on the field going to church events and am capturing video and audio to create recap videos that would later be put onto BSY's Instagram.
Here I took part in the post production of the District Royal Rangers event. I edited the footage they gave me to create a recap video.
Manhattan section had asked me to attend and capture their event. So I recorded how God moved in that service, and edited together a recap video for their section trimonthly.
The Brotherhood United had their first service of the year, and I was invited to attend and work at the service. I recorded the event and edited together a recap video.

As a freelance videographer, I master in the art of capturing what my client desires. I create stories with the footage, and edit the work into something worth while. My rates are included in my prices tab..
For this role I was the head editor for an independent youtuber who focused on fashion, and creating content for showing off clothing. My job was to take the clips she gave me and create weekly content for viewers to see.
I was offered a position to work alongside a team of video editors, to create weekly content for their fans to enjoy. My task was to go onto their website where the fans submitted their clips, and create a funny montage.
I worked at the North Shore Learning Center for 3 years. There I took on many roles, however I found myself mainly overseeing; and creating, many videos for the company that would help reel in customers. I did a lot of promotional edits.
